My name is Rhiannon Nielsen, I am originally from Arizona. I was born and raised in Mesa. I met and married a guy I found on the internet. There is more to the story but he was from Utah and didn’t like the heat of Arizona sun, so I moved to Utah to raise our family. I have two children or young adults, my daughter, Jersey, and my son Phoenix. We also have a fur baby that we love and cherish, her name is, Katniss. 

I am a fairly new teacher, I started my career working, at a call center, moving through the company into training and Human Resources. As my children were ready to move on in their education, I decided it was time for me to finish my degree in Human Resources and Business. I have always wanted to be a teacher and thought my new skills would best be served by helping today's youth understand the working world. 

I teach many of the electives for our junior high, including Exploring Business and Marketing, Exploring Computer Science, College Career and Awareness, Digital Graphic Arts, Family and Consumer Sciences, and Word Processing. I love sharing my knowledge with the students of the Junior High.

Some of my hobbies include shopping and I love to buy, personified cat pictures and paintings. I also enjoy hiking, snowboarding, and paddle boarding. I completed a major goal in March of 2024 for myself as I hiked to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro. It was an amazing experience, I learned to appreciate that I can do hard things no matter what.
